Footfalls echo in the memory down the passage which we did not take towards the door we never opened into the rose-garden.--T.S. Eliot
I loved you
--Alexander Pushkin
I loved you, and I probably still do,
And for a while the feeling may remain...
But let my love no longer trouble you,
I do not wish to cause you any pain.
I loved you; and the hopelessness I knew,
The jealousy, the shyness - though in vain -
Made up a love so tender and so true
As may God grant you to be loved again

And as the lights go dim
I lie down with him
And as I'm lying there
I can only smell your hair
well I guess I can call off the search dogs now ;) I have truly missed you and I hope this means you're coming back more regularly. I get rather lost without my bff ya know?
Love the poem it's beautiful.

It's tough finding time to blog when there are so many other demands on your time. I enjoy it, so I should devote more effort to it.
Glad you liked the poem. Pushkin would be happy, too, I'm certain.
