About Me

  • I'm a retired professional man, living in the Midwestern United States. This blog is a personal blog and is not directly connected with my former professional practice (although I may draw upon my professional experiences, as well as my personal experiences, in writing my blog posts). This is a place for personal, not professional, opinions.

Alicia Rae

I am a very private individual, and hide much about my existence from anyone. There is however a single person who is permitted to see most every aspect of my existence at a deep level, and as you predict here, he is the one who most loves me and never runs from even the worst of me. I had hoped the reality of his unconditional love would provide me comfort enough to emerge from my hiding spaces with others, but instead, his love speaks to me that he must be the exception - that only he can face the reality of who I am.

I don't know your personal situation or whether or not coming out of your hiding place is wise. What I do know is that many of us struggle with our own inner conflicts that we hide from the world. What has been a struggle for me to believe, but what I am finally coming to grips with, is that God loves me as I am, and that the community that forms the body of Christ on Earth also loves you.
